The LILYGO T3 S3 LR1121 is a development board that supports low-power, long-range wireless communication using LoRa technology. It features the ESP32-S3 System-on-Chip, which offers 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi and Bluetooth Low Energy connectivity, making it suitable for various IoT projects.
At the core of the board is the ESP32S3FH4R2 microcontroller, which includes dual-core Xtensa LX7 processors and integrates Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 5.0. The microcontroller has 4 MB of Flash memory and 2 MB of PSRAM for firmware, with support for MicroSD card storage to enhance data logging and external storage options.

The LR1121 transceiver on this board supports several modulation schemes, including LoRa, GFSK, and long-range FHSS (LR-FHSS). It operates in the 830~945 MHz sub-GHz range with a power gain of +22 dBm, and in the 2.4 GHz band with a power gain of +11.5 dBm.
For visual output, the board includes a 0.96″ OLED display driven by the SSD1306 controller, with a resolution of 128×64 pixels. The display connects via an I2C interface. Additionally, the board offers several connection interfaces, including SPI, I2C, UART, and ADC, allowing for easy integration with other devices or sensors.

The board can be powered through a USB Type-C port at 5V or a 3.7V LiPo battery. It features both reset and boot buttons, as well as a 500 mA charging capacity for the LiPo battery, making it flexible for portable applications.
Further technical details and resources, including sample code and documentation, can be found on LILYGO’s GitHub repository.

The T3 S3 LR1121 is available for purchase at $37.40 through the LILYGO online store.
