LILYGO Launches T5 E-Paper S3 Pro ESP32-Based Device Featuring LoRa and MagSafe Charging

This specific board is powered by the ESP32-S3-WROOM-1 module, which includes 16MB of flash memory and 8MB of PSRAM, supporting 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi and BLE 5 for wireless communication.

One of its standout features is the 4.7-inch ultra-low-power e-paper display. Driven by the ED047TC1 IC, this display provides 16 levels of grayscale, ensuring power-efficient visuals. E-paper technology minimizes energy consumption. The display also supports a capacitive touch interface with two-point touch for added interactivity.

For precise timing functionality, the board includes a Real-Time Clock (PCF8563), and it offers external storage via a MicroSD card slot.

The T5 E-Paper S3 Pro features the SX1262 low-power LoRa transceiver, supporting 433 MHz, 868 MHz, and 915 MHz frequency bands for long-distance IoT communication.

Battery management, provided by the BQ25896 and BQ27220 chips, ensures efficient power usage and monitoring while also supporting MagSafe charging.

Measuring 69 x 129 x 11 mm, the device includes a Power button, Reset button, Boot button, and User button. It can be programmed using popular environments such as Arduino IDE and Visual Studio Code, ensuring a user-friendly development experience similar to that of other ESP32-based devices.
